Description
The Filter Metadata feature narrows the items displayed in the Metadata Translator by org, metadata type, language, job, or date range. Filters reduce large metadata sets to focus on specific content for translation or review.

Available filters
Open the Metadata Translator section from the navigation bar. The toolbar provides the following filter options:
- Org Credential — Select the Salesforce environment you want to work with.
- Metadata — Choose a specific metadata type (e.g., Custom Labels, Custom Fields).
- Jobs — Filter by a specific translation job.
- Language — Show only the languages associated with the selected org credential.
- Translation Engine — Select your translation engines for preferred translations.
- Search — Search for specific metadata items using keywords.

How to use filters
- Select your Org Credential first — this determines which metadata and languages are available.
- Apply additional filters to narrow down the list.
- Filters can be combined. For example, select a metadata type and a language to see only Custom Labels in Spanish.
- To reset filters, clear the filter selections or reload the page.
Tips
- Use the Search filter to quickly find a specific field or label by name.
- Filter by Last Modified Date to focus on recently changed metadata that may need translation updates.
- When working with large orgs, always filter by metadata type to keep the list manageable.
Troubleshooting
- If no metadata appears after filtering, confirm that metadata has been retrieved for the selected org credential (see Retrieve Metadata).
- If a language is missing from the dropdown, confirm it has been retrieved for the org credential (see Connect Salesforce Orgs).
