Prerequisites
Steps
Create an org credential
- Open the Org Credentials section in the navigation bar.
- Select Create credential.
- Choose the credential type:
- Production — For live environments with real data.
- Sandbox — For testing environments that mirror production without affecting real data.
- Custom Domain — For Salesforce orgs with personalized URL configurations.
- Complete the OAuth flow to authorize SimpleTranslate.

Retrieve languages
- In the Org Credentials list, select the three dots next to the credential you created.
- Select Retrieve Languages to import the available languages from your Salesforce org.
- Wait for the confirmation notification.
Verify the connection
- Open the credential's edit form or check the Languages section.
- Confirm that the expected languages appear in the list.
What to expect
- The OAuth flow opens a Salesforce login window. After you authorize, SimpleTranslate stores the connection securely.
- Language retrieval usually completes in under a minute.
- Org credentials can be shared across multiple projects in your workspace.
Troubleshooting
- If the OAuth flow fails, confirm the Salesforce user has API access and is not blocked by IP restrictions.
- If no languages appear after retrieval, confirm that languages are enabled in your Salesforce Translation Workbench.
- If the credential shows as disconnected, the Salesforce user's session may have expired — re-authenticate by editing the credential and completing the OAuth flow again.
