SimpleT AI Agent is an intelligent conversational assistant that supports text, voice, file sharing, and camera capture. It can be embedded on Salesforce record pages, app pages, home pages, and Flow screens.

Setup
Before using the AI Agent, make sure your Salesforce org is set up:
Getting started
Opening the chat
- Look for the chat widget on your page. It usually appears as a minimized bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the chat header to expand the interface.
- The AI assistant greets you and offers help.
Basic chat interface
- Chat header – shows the assistant name and available actions.
- Message area – shows your conversation history.
- Input area – where you type your messages and see extra options.
- Action buttons – quick access to files, camera, voice input, and settings.

How to communicate
Text messages
1. Type your message – click in the text box and start typing.
2. Send message – press Enter or click the send (arrow) button.
3. Add multiple lines – hold Shift + Enter to insert a line break.
4. Character limit – each message can be up to about 500 characters.
Example:
You: Hello, can you help me with my order?
AI: Hi! I would be happy to help with your order. Can you provide your order number?
Voice input
1. Start recording – click the microphone button when the text box is empty.
2. Speak clearly – the AI transcribes your speech in real time.
3. Stop recording – click the microphone again or wait for auto-stop.
4. Language support – works automatically with many languages.
Tips for voice input:
- Speak clearly at a normal pace.
- Use a quiet environment when possible.
- The system automatically detects your language.
- You see live transcription while you speak.
File sharing
1. Upload files – click the “+” button and choose **Document**.
2. Drag and drop – you can drag files directly into the chat area.
3. Supported types – documents, images, videos, spreadsheets, PDFs.
4. File limits – each file must be below your org’s size limits.
5. Multiple files – attach several files at once if needed.
File preview:
- See file name, size, and type before sending.
- Remove a file by clicking the X next to it.
- Files appear as attachments in the conversation.
Camera capture
1. Open camera – click “+” and choose **Photo & Video**.
2. Choose mode – switch between Photo and Video mode.
3. Capture – click the large capture button.
4. Review – preview and choose **Send** or **Retake**.
5. Options – switch between front / rear camera, toggle flash if available.
Camera features:
- Photo mode – capture still images.
- Video mode – record short clips.
- Preview – review before sending.
- Fallback – if the camera is not available, choose a file from your device.
Understanding AI responses
Rich content
The AI can respond with different types of formatted content:
- Plain text – simple conversational replies.
- Formatted text – bold, italic, and structured paragraphs.
- Lists – bullet and numbered lists.
- Tables – organized rows and columns of data.
- Code blocks – formatted code snippets.
- Links – clickable URLs.
Interactive elements
- Action buttons – buttons such as “Learn more” for quick actions.
- Quick replies – suggested short replies you can click instead of typing.
- File downloads – clickable attachments.

Managing your conversation
Chat controls
- Clear chat – click the refresh icon to start a new conversation.
- Minimize / expand – click the header to hide or show the chat.
- Feedback – use thumbs up / down to rate AI responses.
Session management
- Automatic saving – conversations are saved automatically.
- Session continuity – you can return and continue where you left off.
- Privacy – chats are tied to your account and kept private according to your org’s policies.
Quick actions
- Suggested replies – click suggestions below the AI message.
- Action buttons – use them for frequent tasks (for example, open a page, start a flow).
- File actions – click file chips to preview or download.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and solutions
Voice input not working
- Check microphone permissions in your browser.
- Click the microphone and try again.
- Use a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- Move to a quieter place for better recognition.
Camera not working
- Allow camera access when the browser prompts you.
- Confirm that your device camera works in other apps.
- Use “Choose from device” as a fallback if the camera fails.
- Update your browser to the latest version.
File upload issues
- Check file size limits for your org.
- Confirm the file type is supported.
- Make sure your network connection is stable.
- Refresh the page and try again if needed.
AI not responding
- Wait a bit – some requests take longer to process.
