Description

Roles and Permissions controls what each user can see and do in SimpleT. All products have separate role management systems. When you are invited to an organization, you receive one role per product. Owners have full access to everything.

How Roles Work

All products have separate role management systems. When you are invited, your administrator selects one role for each product.


Owner

The Owner role has full access to every feature across all products. Owners can manage users, change any role, configure all settings, and access all data. The user who creates an organization is automatically assigned the Owner role.


SimpleTranslate Roles

Admin - Translate has full control over all SimpleTranslate features including translation engines, glossaries, credentials, and approval workflows.

Developer - Translate can translate metadata and manage translation jobs. View access to translation engines and glossaries. No access to setup or user management.

Translator - Translate can view and translate content for assigned languages only. Cannot deploy changes to Salesforce or access setup features.

None - Translate removes all access to SimpleTranslate. The product is not visible to the user and no SimpleTranslate tools or features can be used.

SimpleT AI Roles

Admin - AI has full control over all SimpleT AI features including Prompt Builder, LLM Manager, AI Command Center, and Agent Templates.

Developer - AI can create and manage prompts, monitor AI usage, and work with agent templates. Cannot configure AI providers.

Read Only - AI has view-only access to all SimpleT AI features. Cannot create, edit, or delete any resources.

None - AI removes all access to SimpleT AI. The product is not visible to the user and no SimpleT AI tools or features can be used.

Shared Features

Some features are shared across products. You can access them if at least one of your product roles qualifies. For example, if you are an Admin in SimpleTranslate and Read Only in SimpleT AI, you can still manage Users because your Admin role qualifies.


Deploy Permission

Deploy Permission controls who can push translated metadata to Salesforce. This is separate from the role itself and can be restricted per user.


How to Change a User Role

  1. Open the User section from the navigation menu.
  2. Find the user in the list and click Edit.
  3. Toggle the Owner checkbox for full access, or select a role for each product from the dropdowns.
  4. Optionally enable Disallow user to deploy to restrict deployment access.
  5. Click Save.
