Simple Translate provides four pre‑configured default translation engines that are ready to use immediately without requiring API keys or complex setup. These engines include ST AI Default, ST DeepL Default, ST Google Translate Default, and ST AWS Default. Each engine is optimized for different use cases and is connected to the Default Glossary.
Translation engines are categorized into two main types.
Default Translation Engines
All Default Engines are connected with the Default Glossary. They are managed by Simple Translate and do not require any external API key.
Step 1 — Activate the Translation Engine
Go to Translation Engine in the navigation bar.
Find and select the engine you want to use (e.g. ST DeepL Default).
Look at the Translation Engine State.
If it shows Inactive, click the Inactive button to activate it.
Once activated, the state will change to Active.
